SB SUNBO held its “Sangsaeng Bok Day” event in celebration of Chobok to recognize the hard work of employees working at industrial sites during the summer and to strengthen communication and mutual growth with its partner companies.
The event was organized as part of the “2026 Busan Shipbuilding Industry Regional Co-Prosperity Gap Reduction Support Project,”
supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Busan Metropolitan City and organized by the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The initiative was designed to encourage workers in the shipbuilding industry, who face particularly demanding working conditions during the summer due to outdoor work and high-temperature processes, while also promoting greater interaction between primary contractors and their partner companies.
Employees from seven primary contractors, including SB SUNBO, and 65 internal and external partner companies participated in the event. During lunch and break times,
a total of 330 watermelons were shared across participating workplaces, providing an opportunity for employees and partners to connect and communicate.
SB SUNBO will continue to improve the welfare of its on-site workforce and create a safer working environment, while contributing to a healthy culture of mutual growth in the regional shipbuilding industry through sustained communication and trust with its partner companies.
