SB Sunbo held its April Morning Lecture on April 29 at the main auditorium of its headquarters under the theme, “Building a Trust-Based Organizational Culture Through Appreciation.”
The lecture was delivered by instructor Jeong Seol-i, who emphasized the importance of trust and appreciation within organizations.
During the session, trust was highlighted as a key factor in improving organizational performance. In particular, appreciation was introduced as an essential tool for reinforcing positive behavior, creating psychological safety, and fostering a collaborative workplace culture.
The lecture also introduced an effective three-step framework for expressing appreciation: “Situation – Behavior – Impact.” The speaker explained the importance of communication that specifically connects employees’ actions with positive outcomes and achievements.
In addition, four key principles of effective appreciation were shared:
- • Immediacy (providing feedback right after a situation occurs)
- • Specificity (focusing on observable actions)
- • Connection (linking actions to team goals)
- • Consistency (applying feedback fairly and consistently)
SB Sunbo plans to continue operating various morning lecture programs to strengthen trust among employees and foster a healthy and positive organizational culture.
