The morning lecture held on February 4 focused on the theme “Explaining Leaders vs. Persuading Leaders.”

Se-Young Lee, Principal Manager of the ESG Communication Team at SB Sunbo Co., Ltd., delivered the lecture, sharing practical insights on presentation and communication strategies for team leaders and managers.

Lee emphasized that the effectiveness of leadership presentations depends on whether they remain at the level of simply “explaining” information or evolve into “persuading” the organization to act and make decisions. According to Lee, explanation-focused presentations may lead to more questions and extended discussions, potentially delaying decision-making. In contrast, persuasion-focused presentations clearly convey key messages and can accelerate organizational execution.

Lee also noted that nonverbal elements, such as eye contact, gestures, and overall attitude, play an important role in enhancing the impact of a presentation.

In addition, practical presentation strategies were shared, highlighting that when addressing complex issues, leaders should organize their messages into short, clear, and concise statements, which is essential for effective leadership communication.
