SB Seonbo Co., Ltd. held its company-wide 2025 First-Half Business Performance Review Meeting on July 17 at the main auditorium of the Busan Industry–Academia Convergence Institute Campus Hall.

The meeting was attended by approximately 120 executives and employees at the manager level and above and lasted about seven hours starting at 10 a.m. The event began with the singing of the company song and opening remarks by Chairman Geum-Sik Choi of SB Seonbo, followed by a congratulatory video from employees celebrating the integration of the company’s corporate entities.

This was followed by reports from the HSE Planning and Technical Sales divisions, as well as operational reports from the Dadae, Gupyeong, Gimhae, and Honam sites.

In the afternoon session, presentations continued from the Engineering Headquarters and various divisions including Plant Engineering, Plant Quality, Honam Quality, General Affairs/Finance, Procurement, Future Research, Electrical & Instrumentation/Commissioning, Business Operations, Planning, and IT. The meeting concluded with closing remarks from Chairman Geum-Sik Choi, Vice Chairman Doo-Sun Park, President Cheong-Uk Kim, and President Sang-Do Kim, followed by the singing of the company song and a company slogan chant.

In his remarks, Chairman Choi shared his aspiration to build “a company respected by society and loved by its employees’ families.” He encouraged employees to work together toward this vision, stating, “Together with the Seonbo family, I hope to build not only a great company in Busan but also one of the best companies in Korea.” He also emphasized that the company’s listing and growth are not solely for the organization itself but for the personal growth and respected lives of its employees.

Chairman Choi further highlighted the importance of innovation and adaptability amid the rapidly changing shipbuilding industry and global market. He noted that survival requires agile responses to change and continuous innovation, adding that the company should leverage its strong growth in module unit technology to secure core eco-friendly technologies and expand into the global market. He also stressed that maintaining product quality and on-time delivery must remain essential priorities.

Vice Chairman Park emphasized the importance of problem-solving capabilities, stating that addressing the most critical underlying factors that drive overall issues—rather than surface-level problems—can help organizations overcome crises more quickly.

He also referenced the concept of “Seven Acts of Giving Without Wealth (Mujae Chilsi),” which means that people can practice generosity through attitude and actions even without material wealth. He encouraged employees by saying that living with kindness, consideration, and generosity toward others would help make the company a better and more respected organization.

President Cheong-Uk Kim urged employees to focus on integrating processes in order to quickly resolve operational confusion following the corporate integration. President Sang-Do Kim echoed this sentiment, noting that the company is currently undergoing a major transformation. He emphasized that the company’s future success will depend on speed and differentiation, encouraging employees to move faster than competitors and build stronger strategic advantages.
