Sunbo has initiated a mentoring program targeting employees with less than one year of tenure, aiming to support their smooth integration into the company and workplace culture.

Unlike the previous format, which involved scheduled group mentoring ceremonies based on collective onboarding periods, the new program matches mentors and mentees on an ongoing basis—starting from the employee’s very first day. Each mentee is paired with two mentors: one from the same department and one from a different department, promoting both professional guidance and cross-functional connection.

The current round of mentoring includes three groups:

  • Group 1: Mentee Wonwoo Hwang (Electrical & Instrumentation Design Team) with mentors Siyoon Kim (same team) and Seunghyun Yang (Materials Procurement Team)

  • Group 2: Mentee Hyungjun Park (Process Design Team) with mentors Youngmin Kwon (same team) and Donghyun Yoon (Plant Sales Team)

  • Group 3: Mentee Dayeon Park (Technical Research Team 1) with mentors Younghoon Jung (same team) and Myungho Lee (Finance & HR Team)

Each mentoring group will be active for three months. To facilitate meaningful interaction, an activity allowance of KRW 100,000 is provided for tea breaks and lunch meetings.

Mentors are responsible for guiding mentees through the company’s structure, etiquette, and policies based on the official onboarding handbook, while also encouraging informal exchanges and fostering a sense of camaraderie. The program is expected to not only help new employees improve their skills and explore their potential, but also strengthen team synergy and interpersonal bonds across departments.
