Facility Tours Mokpo National University Students Visit SB Sunbo’s Daebul Plant

On May 13, 104 students from the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Mokpo National University visited SB Sunbo’s Daebul Plant as part of a corporate site tour program designed to provide firsthand experience of the shipbuilding and marine engineering industry.
During the visit, students learned about SB Sunbo’s global competitiveness and future vision through a company introduction and promotional presentation. They also attended a session on engineering design, gaining insight into key ship design processes and the latest industry trends.
The program was tailored to students’ academic levels. Freshmen toured the production facilities and observed manufacturing operations firsthand, while sophomore, junior, and senior students participated in mentoring sessions with SB Sunbo employees who are alumni of the university, discussing career paths, job responsibilities, and employment preparation.
SB Sunbo remains committed to strengthening industry-academia collaboration with local universities and supporting the development of future engineering talent who will lead the next generation of the shipbuilding and marine industry.
