​​​On October 11, the team leading SUNBO’s Sunshine Project gathered for a trekking event at the Molundae area in Dadaepo to wish for the project's success. The Sunshine Project envisions transforming SUNBO​ into the “No.1 Global Eco-Friendly Energy Company, Sailing Beyond Shipbuilding into Energy.” The project is structured around four modules, divided by business sectors: Shipbuilding, LNG/OCCS, Eco-Friendly, and Management/Operations. Their key goals include: Shipbuilding Sector: Achieving KRW 200 billion in revenue by 2026LNG/OCCS Sector: Achieving KRW 200 billion in revenue by 2026Eco-Friendly Sector: Achieving KRW 100 billion in revenue by 2026Management/Operations Sector: Reaching a 10% operating profit margin The roadmap aims for overall revenue of KRW 500 billion and net income of KRW 50 billion by 2026, ultimately targeting a market capitalization of KRW 1 trillion by 2027.Following their kickoff meeting, the Sunshine Project teams split into groups for the trekking activity, carrying banners displaying their individual targets and taking commemorative photos with the scenic Dadaepo coastline as a backdrop. During the kickoff meeting, team members discussed their roles, motivations, goals, expectations, and resolutions for the project.As part of the initiative, the Sunshine Project team will operate as One Team, overseeing and directing detailed plans to transform Sunbo from a global shipbuilding equipment provider into a global energy solutions leader. The team will also actively encourage and guide the Sunbo Family toward achieving its ambitious goals. 

  SUNBO recently concluded its ‘Body Fat Reduction Contest,’ an initiative designed to enhance the self-health management capabilities of employees who are vulnerable to health risks. On the 12th, the company held an award ceremony, presenting cash prizes and certificates to outstanding participants who achieved successful body fat reduction.The contest, which began in March and ran until October, involved a matching fund system where participants and the company jointly accumulated monthly contributions on a 1:1 basis. On October 24, the final body assessments (InBody measurements) were conducted, and results were compiled to determine the top three performers and high scorers (those scoring 60 points or more based on the scoring criteria). Prizes were awarded according to their ranks, while participants who failed to meet their goals donated their accumulated funds to charity.The scoring criteria were designed to promote sustainable health improvements beyond mere weight loss, focusing on four key metrics: body fat reduction rate (%), muscle mass gain (%), weight reduction (kg), and increased basal metabolic rate (kcal).The winners of this year’s contest were: 1st place (1 million KRW): Kim Soo-hwan, Senior Engineer, Shipbuilding Production Team2nd place (900,000 KRW): Kim Ki-joo, Senior Team Leader, Material Support Division & Shin Myung-hwan, Senior Engineer, Business Planning Team, Sunbo Unitech3rd place (800,000 KRW): Kim Young-kwang, Senior Engineer, Design Team 8, Sunbo Unitech 

​On October 10, SUNBO Angel Partners and Lighthouse Combine Invest (hereinafter referred to as Lighthouse) hosted a roundtable discussion titled “New Space: The Future of the Space Industry Beyond Launch Vehicles” at the meeting room of Ananti Cove. The event featured key figures from companies within the space industry as speakers. The roundtable opened with a keynote presentation by Kim Il-tae, Executive Director of Lighthouse, on the topic “The Space Business from an Investor’s Perspective.” Following this, presentations were delivered on various subjects, including: On-orbit servicing businesses and radar-based proximity sensor technology for space (Han-seok Lee, CEO of Pion Systems)Space traffic management solutions for tracking, managing, and deorbiting satellites and collaborative opportunities with mid-sized companies (Sung-moon Lee, CEO of Wooriro Tech)Development of low-Earth orbit satellite-based space medicine research platforms (Hak-soon Yoon, CEO of Space Lintec) The recent establishment of Korea’s Aerospace Agency, along with the nation’s launch of its first lunar lander development program, is expected to accelerate advancements in exploration technologies and the development of space-related research such as international giant radio telescopes.​ 

 ​​On October 16, 23, and 30, SUNBO INDUSTRIES and SUNBO UNITECH held morning lectures at their respective training centers, covering key topics aimed at equipping employees with industry insights and ethical awareness. The October lectures featured two main themes: “The Future of the Shipbuilding Industry and Our Response”, delivered by Seonbo Hightech CEO Kim Sang-do, and “Corporate and Professional Ethics”, presented by Kim Hee-jung from the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. CEO Kim Sang-do focused on the current trends in the shipbuilding sector, key insights into the shipbuilding equipment industry, and Seonbo’s strategic responses. He highlighted the critical importance of technological development and enhanced product quality to maintain competitive strength.In the session on corporate and professional ethics, participants engaged in an interactive activity involving illustrated cards representing various scenarios and symbolic meanings. Employees selected cards reflecting their views on the company’s significance, their ideal vision of the workplace, and the goals they aimed to achieve. Through these sessions, SUNBO Family members gained a deeper understanding of the current state of the shipbuilding industry and its challenges. Additionally, they explored the multifaceted nature of corporate ethics, aligning their takeaways with ESG principles and how ethical conduct can drive long-term organizational success.​ 

 ​​On October 24, SUNBO hosted a Science Experience Camp with Children as part of its cultural activities for employees and their families. The day began early with a tour of SUNBO INDUSTRIES headquarters, including visits to the promotional hall and design office. From there, participants traveled to the National Institute of Fisheries Science in Gijang-gun, where they explored exhibits through guided tours and visited interactive facilities like the VR Science Hall and outdoor aquariums.After a refreshing lunch, the group continued to the National Science Museum in Busan, where children engaged in creative exploration through club-based inquiry learning activities. The day’s excitement culminated with an unforgettable experience at Lotte World Adventure and the museum’s nighttime stargazing program, leaving the children with lasting memories.Laughter and excitement filled the air throughout the day as families enjoyed a variety of educational and hands-on activities. The camp was not only an enriching experience but also a meaningful opportunity for employees to bond with their children, creating treasured moments along the way.​ 

 On November 2, SUNBO Family hosted the Fall Fun Sports Festival at the indoor gymnasium of Busan Health University, bringing together employees and their families for a day of excitement and bonding. Participants were divided into five teams and enjoyed a variety of games, including the hula hoop challenge, parachute game, races, three-legged race, tug-of-war, group jump rope, shoe toss, and ball relay.After a delicious lunch prepared by the SUNBO Employee Association, the highlight of the afternoon was the unique relay race, which added to the day’s energy and fun. The event concluded with a closing ceremony and prize draw, where attendees had the chance to win prizes such as TVs, robot vacuum cleaners, and household items.The warm autumn weather set the perfect backdrop for the event, allowing employees to reconnect and create lasting memories. Many SeonboFamily members shared their joy, saying, “The family-inclusive nature of the event made it even more meaningful. Seeing our children laughing and having fun was truly unforgettable.”​ 

 ​​On October 29, the second-half SUNBO Blood Donation Day event was held at the respective plants of SUNBO INDUSTRIES​ and SUNBO UNITECH. The event was organized to help stabilize the regional blood supply ahead of the winter season and to demonstrate SUNBO’s commitment to ESG management. The group blood donation was conducted in two sessions—morning and afternoon—with a total of 34 participants, including 23 employees from Seonbo Industrial and 11 from SUNBO UNITECH​, contributing warmth and care to the local community. SUNBO INDUSTRIES​ has been recognized for its continuous community outreach and its efforts in spreading a culture of sharing, receiving the Top Honor in the Sharing Category at the Busan Social Contribution Awards in September. SUNBO Family Chairman Choi Keum-sik’s role as Chairman of the Busan Community Chest of Korea from 2021 until this summer further invigorated the company’s volunteerism and culture of giving. The company encouraged employees to continue donating blood individually as well and expressed its gratitude by providing a 20,000 KRW cultural gift voucher to each participant in the group blood donation.​ 

​On October 21, SUNBO Family held its 2024 third-quarter business performance review meeting at the headquarters training center. The session, attended by department heads and higher-ranking executives, lasted approximately four hours, starting at 1 p.m.The meeting began with a presentation on the company’s long-term growth strategy, “LET’S GO 2025”, covering key initiatives such as: Premium Module DifferentiationAccelerating Growth of Eco-Friendly LNG Fuel Gas Supply Systems (FGSS)Detailed Implementation of Sustainable Management through Value Sharing Following this, reports were presented by various departments, including HSE, Sales 1, Plant Sales, Production, Production Design, Plant Design, Quality Management, Business Support, Business Planning, and Commissioning. The meeting concluded with an executive assessment session.During the assessment, Vice Chairman Park Du-seon emphasized the importance of thorough preparation for key projects, including promoting Seonbo products (SUNCOM) at international exhibitions and advancing the Gogiwon Project. He encouraged meticulous attention to detail to ensure the company’s efforts bear fruit.He also highlighted the importance of aligning efforts with the Sunshine Project, urging teams to collaborate on creating new business plans and to make 2024 a foundational year for the company’s IPO success. 

​On October 28, SUNBO held a joint workshop with the Advanced Technology Research Institute at the Wyndham Grand Busan. The event was attended by SeonboFamily Chairman Choi Keum-sik, Vice Chairman Park Du-seon, SUNBO UNITEXCH CEO Kim Cheong-uk, Seonbo Hightech CEO Kim Sang-do, and Seonbo Angel Partners CEO Oh Jong-hoon, along with key executives from SeonboFamily. The workshop focused on exchanging knowledge related to carbon neutrality and future innovation technologies.As an industrial technology research association, the Advanced Technology Research Institute is dedicated to developing future-oriented technologies in areas such as clean energy and advanced materials while fostering both qualitative and quantitative growth through the recruitment of top talent. The workshop included an analysis of the institute’s current technological capabilities and future technology trends. SUNBO INDUSTRIES also shared updates on the business development of its Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology, fostering meaningful discussions on innovation and collaboration for future growth.​ 

   On October 28, the SUNBO Family’s signature communication event, the One-Heart Competition, organized by the Organizational Culture Team, was held at the Smart Lounge of the Dadae Plant 1. This event featured a challenging game where participants had to bounce a ping pong ball and land it into various targets. Each department and partner company formed teams of two, with a total of 10 teams participating. Each team was given three ping pong balls, which had to bounce at least once off the floor before landing in a target. Points were awarded based on the target: 1 point for a basket and 3 points for harder targets like paper cups and cylindrical holders.Due to the unexpectedly high level of difficulty, scoring was challenging for most teams. After three attempts, the Plant Design Team 2 (Kim Kwang-nam and Park Gwi-nam) secured victory with a total score of 4 points. The winning team received a 50,000 KRW departmental prize. The Organizational Culture Team plans to continue discovering and expanding inter-departmental communication activities to foster a close-knit and flexible organizational culture.​ 

​On October 24, SUNBO INDUSTRIES​ took part in the Busan Job Festival held at BEXCO, showcasing itself as a leading regional company and actively engaging in recruitment and promotional activities. The event, organized by the Busan Metropolitan City and BNK Busan Bank, aimed to effectively connect job seekers with companies through a wide range of activities, including a grand opening ceremony, job fairs, special exhibitions, promotional booths, job consulting services, recruitment lectures, and on-site events. SUNBO INDUSTRIES​​ participated with a booth in the Eco-Friendly Smart Marine Mobility section, a collective exhibition of shipbuilding and marine equipment companies. The company conducted on-site interviews and recruitment consultations, particularly focusing on positions in design, commissioning, and research.As a 2024 Youth-Friendly Company, designated by the Busan Metropolitan City, SUNBO INDUSTRIES​​ has earned recognition for offering competitive salaries, job stability, and comprehensive welfare benefits within the industry.   On September 27, SUNBO INDUSTRIES was honored with the Busan Metropolitan City Social Contribution Award at the 31st Busan Welfare Month Celebration held at Dasom Square in Busan Citizens Park. The award recognizes the company’s dedication to practicing neighborly love and contributing to the local community. As a distinguished member of Busan’s Honorary Donation Company program, SUNBO INDUSTRIES​ has grown into one of the region’s leading companies since its establishment in 1996. It has consistently carried out educational and scholarship programs for underprivileged groups and local youth, along with various corporate social responsibility initiatives. ​​​SUNBO lNDUSTRIES​ has been honored with the designation of 2024 Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.At the certification ceremony held on August 16 at the Busan Employment and Labor Office, SUNBO lNDUSTRIES​ was represented by Vice President Seo Jae-wook and employee representative Kim Dong-seop, who received the certificate and plaque. This program recognizes companies that exemplify cooperative labor-management relations and social responsibility through successful labor-management partnerships, with the goal of enhancing corporate and national competitiveness. This year, 145 companies applied, and after a thorough evaluation involving document reviews and case presentations, 35 companies, including Seonbo Industrial, were selected.SUNBO lNDUSTRIES​ was highly praised for overcoming internal labor conflicts between direct employees and in-house subcontractors during factory consolidations through extensive communication and engagement activities.   ​On August 12, SUNBO HIGHTECH’s R&D Center and the Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation of Mokpo National University held a prototype demonstration of the Electric Vacuum Oil Suction Device at the Yeongam Plant. The event was attended by SUNBO HIGHTECH​ CEO Kim Sang-do, key executives, Professor Kim Ho-kyung from Mokpo National University’s Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, and industry-academia cooperation representatives. With financial support from Mokpo National University, SUNBO HIGHTECH​​ developed an electric vacuum oil suction device designed to improve productivity by creating a safer and cleaner work environment compared to traditional methods for removing residual oil from piping and equipment after hydro testing.Through pre-commissioning and the demonstration, the device showcased effective performance in ensuring safety, enabling one-person operation, reducing cleanup time, preventing spillage and contamination, and minimizing leak recurrence. Following the demonstration, a discussion session was held between SUNBO HIGHTECH​​ and Mokpo National University, during which both parties agreed to continue mutual support in future research and development projects. They also outlined plans to collaborate on identifying various research initiatives to establish safer, more efficient, and smarter production facilities.​

 ​​The SUNBO Family’s signature communication event, the One-Heart Competition, organized by the Organizational Culture Team, was held on August 28 at the SUNBO INDUSTRIES headquarters’ Smart Lounge. This year’s featured game, Ping Pong Ball Bouncing, required both quick reflexes and focus. Teams of two from the SUNBO Family faced off in closely contested matches. Participants could choose one of six progressively challenging missions, each incorporating various techniques such as flipping or spinning the ball. Players were allowed up to two attempts per mission, with the rule that the score from the first attempt would be void if a second attempt was made.The Finance Team, represented by Lee Dong-min and Yoo Jae-hoon, claimed victory by earning 5 points in their first attempt. They were awarded a 50,000 KRW departmental prize for their impressive performance.​ 

 ​On August 29, SUNBO Angel Partners held a roundtable at Ominara, a traditional liquor and wine production company located in Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do. During the event, SUNBO Angel Partners employees attended a lecture by Lee Jong-gi, Korea’s first master blender and renowned whiskey expert, who also serves as CEO of Ominara. The session included an introduction to Ominara’s products and a tasting event. Lee shared Ominara’s vision and philosophy of leading innovation in the brewing industry and shaping new drinking cultures. He also highlighted his contributions to the development of well-known whiskey brands such as Berry Nine Gold, Windsor, and Golden Blue. Ominara is recognized for its dedication to research and brewing technology, producing high-quality distilled spirits and wines that have been featured as official beverages at state banquets and presidential toasts. By utilizing locally sourced ingredients to create specialty liquors, the brand is making strides toward becoming a global enterprise.​
