 The blood donation event for the first half of 2022 was held on June 16 for SUNBO industries Co.,Ltd. and SUNBO Unitech Co.,Ltd. personnel. A total of 25 people (20 people from SUNBO industries Co.,Ltd. and 5 from SUNBO Unitech Co.,Ltd.) participated in the blood donation event, which was divided into Dadae Plant 1, Dadae Plant 2, and Gupyeong Plant. Cho Myoung-hee, a senior member of the electric field design team who participated in the blood donation for the first time, said, "I participated in the blood donation because I thought it would be difficult to receive blood donations in the aftermath of COVID-19. In the future, I hope that I will donate blood regularly when I am healthy to help those in need," he said. Since 2009, our company has held blood donation events twice a year in the first and second half of the year. SUNBO, an exemplary blood donation event for the local community, received a plaque of appreciation from the Korean Red Cross to mark the 10th anniversary of the event's start (June 14). I would like to express my gratitude to the person who actively participated in the event by exercising the spirit of sharing even during busy work, and I hope that our company's blood donation event will serve as the foundation for the social contribution activities of companies in Busan.​

 Introducing FGSS products to shipping companies in Greece and Europe​  SUNBO industries Co.,Ltd. participated in the "Posidonia 2022" shipbuilding and maritime fair held in Athens, Greece, from June 6 to 10. Posidonia, which marks its 27th anniversary this year, is considered one of the world's top three shipbuilding and marine fairs along with Norway's Nor-shipping and Germany's International Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Fair (SMN). The fair, which revitalized the shipbuilding and marine industrial market, which had been stagnant due to the influence of Corona, was attended by numerous related industry workers. Our company exhibited an eco-friendly LNG  fuel supply system (FGSS). Shipbuilders such as MARAN, TSAKOS, and EURONAV, as well as Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, K Shipbuilding, and overseas remodeling/repair shipyards and equipment companies, visited the launch booth to show interest. Yeom Cheon-hwan, managing director of the FGSS EM team, said, "I got information on IMO decarbonization strategies and plans in the shipping industry, and this was a good opportunity to introduce and promote our FGSS products to shipping companies in Greece and Europe." Meanwhile, the Posidonia Fair, which is held every two years, will hold various forums such as marine policies, meetings on important issues in the international shipping community, and international conferences on maritime tourism. The 2020 Posidonia Fair was canceled in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, and more than 2,000 companies from more than 100 countries participated in the fair, which was held in four years.

 ​Emergency training to strengthen the response capabilities of the Sunbo family in the event of a safety accident was held at Dadae Plant 1 on May 27, Dadae Plant 2 on May 26, and Gimhae Plant and SUNBO PEACE Co.,Ltd. on May 23. Through emergency response training, which lasted for about an hour from 1 p.m. for each factory, ▲ how to report the occurrence of an accident (emergency contact, 119 report) ▲ how to deal with emergencies according to conditions (fragrant, stretcher use) ▲ how to prevent secondary damage to the place of the accident ▲ how to preserve the safety accident. In particular, each factory had a practice time to respond to possible safety accidents at the site. The Dadae Plant 1 had wrist fractures due to excessive torque while using the impact wrench, the Dadae Plant 2 had fractures due to knee bumps hitting protrusions during work, and the Gimhae Plant and SUNBO PEACE Co.,Ltd. had been trained to fit the head during pipe welding. Compliance with safety rules is as important as responding to safety accidents. We hope that all executives and employees of the SUNBO Family are always awake to safety issues and will establish a safe workplace without accidents.​

  Recognized for core technologies such as the world's first ship module, UNIT, and community service activities. Choi Geum-sik, chairman of SUNBO Industrial Co., Ltd., was selected as the winner of the 13th Dongmyeong Grand Prize along with Ryu Kwang-ji, chairman of Geumyang Co., Ltd. The award ceremony held at the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry at 2 p.m. on May 4 was attended by major local figures such as Busan  Mayor Park Hyung-joon, Nexen Group Chairman Kang Byung-joong, and BNK Financial Group Chairman Kim Ji-wan.Chairman Choi Geum-sik, who leads a leading shipbuilding  equipment company in Busan, introduced the world's first ship module UNIT to  improve dock rotation and established the H.S.E. in the process of adopting the Strainer and Silencer shipyard standard drawings. Chairman Choi Geum-sik's award at the Dongmyeong Grand Prize is all the more meaningful as he was recognized for his  efforts to lead the development of local industries with future flagship products and core technologies, and for his various volunteer activities for the community. At the awards ceremony, Chairman Choi Geum-sik said, "I am honored and happy to receive the grand prize of the same name with the entrepreneurial spirit of the late Chairman Kang Seok-jin, who laid the foundation for Korea's economy." "In  support of  Chairman Kang Seok-jin's entrepreneurship, we  promise to do our best to create a good Busan to live in by practicing Busan's  economic development, future talent development, and regional and sharing culture." On the other hand, the Dongmyeong Grand Prize is awarded to those who have made contributions to the development of  Busan and the country, and was jointly established by industry, academia, research, government, and political circles to continue the spirit of the late Chairman Kang Seok-jin, who led Korea's exports and economic development in the industrial era.  Chairman Ryu Kwang-ji of Geumyang Co., Ltd., who received the award on the  same day, is contributing to the growth of the Busan shoe industry by succeeding in localizing the foaming agent for the first time in Korea.

  On April 13, a morning special lecture on the theme of "How to Read  Humanities and How to Operate Reading Groups" was held at the education center on the 4th floor of the headquarters. In the morning special lecture, team leaders and executives and employees interested in  reading participated, and SUNBO Unitech Co., Ltd., SUNBO Peace Co., Ltd., Yeongam Factory, and Gimhae Factory were broadcast live on YouTube. Jin  Garok, the  author of the  book publishing  media in charge of the lecture, taught how to  operate a  reading group suitable for the  purpose and emphasized slow reading and discussion that can change each person's life rather than excessive reading. Based on the lecture,  27 team leader-level employees will hold a reading discussion meeting once a month.  We look forward to a SUNBO family that will grow  further as a  reading discussion group. 

  On April 20, our company gave a special morning lecture on the theme of 'ESG Management'. Park  Yong-seok,  director of  Expert Consulting, who was  invited as an instructor , told the  right concept of ESG management and examples of domestic and foreign companies growing with changes and innovations in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. Meanwhile, a four-hour special lecture was held for executives and team leaders from 8 p.m. on the 23rd to help further understand ESG management. In the lecture hosted by Park Myung-chul, CEO of MCP Management Consulting, we looked into specific action plans for ESG management, one of the detailed tasks for promoting LET'S GO 2025.  Our company will continue to practice ESG management that learns, grows, and fulfills its social responsibilities through various education.

SUNBO Unitech Co., Ltd. will participate in the large-scale green hydrogen development project of Jeju wind power plant led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. It is the first large-scale green hydrogen production demonstration project in Korea to create large-scale green hydrogen (a method of decomposing water into electricity) in connection with 12.5MW renewable energy from Jeju Dongbokbukchon Wind Power Complex operated by Jeju Energy Corporation. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy plans to invest 29.9 billion won and companies and institutions participating in southern power generation and consortiums will invest 32.3 billion won to accumulate optimal operating conditions for water electrolysis facilities and green hydrogen production and economic data over the next four years. The project will be completed from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2026, with our  company, △ Halo Hydrogen △ SK Ecoplant △ Estee △  Zippilos △ Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power △ Gas Technology Corporation △  Energy Corporation △ Future Standards Research Institute △ Jeju Energy Corporation △ Jeju Provincial Office. If the demonstration is successful, it will produce 1,000 tons of green hydrogen per year from 2026 to lay the foundation for stable use of green hydrogen in public areas such as hydrogen buses and cleaning cars in Jeju Island. It will also push for hydrogen conversion in the private, agricultural, fishing, agricultural machinery, and ship sectors by reflecting the basic plan for promoting the Jeju hydrogen economy. SUNBO Unitech Co., Ltd. will be in charge of supplying and installing the nation's first 2MW class PEM water electrolysis facility, and will serve as a stepping stone to the green hydrogen economy. While major developed countries around the world  are developing eco-friendly and renewable energy with the aim of achieving 2050 carbon neutrality, Korea is stepping up efforts to produce green hydrogen and develop hydrogen mobility technologies. Our company will continue to actively participate in the growth of the country's future energy industry. 

 Amid difficult times at home and abroad due to disasters and disasters, hope-filled news has been delivered from Nawasa, Upper East, Ghana. With the activities of the SUNBO Lighthouse Invest, the construction of classrooms and toilets for the Early Childhood Development and 348 elementary school students was completed. The project , which began in April 2021, allows children in the Nawasa no.1 area to take classes in safe and comfortable classrooms even in bad weather. By December 2022, necessary educational equipment and equipment in the classroom, such as desks, chairs, and blackboards, will also be provided. Along with the Green Umbrella Fund Project, SUNBO Lighthouse Invest is carrying out a child-friendly educational environment support project (LPT) to guarantee the survival and development rights of children aged 0 to 8 in Casena Nankana West and Bulbulos, Upper East, Ghana, and to improve kindergarten and elementary school learning environments. In addition to improving the educational environment, the Child-Friendly Education Environment Support Project (LPT) is also focusing on strengthening caregivers, teachers, communities, and government capabilities to guarantee children aged 0 to 8. Until now, 77 ECD center teachers have been supported with parish development and teacher training programs, and 2,070 parents have been given parenting workshops through health workers (20) and facilitators (100), and radio broadcasts have spread knowledge of raising infants in the community. New seeds of hope are spreading with the support of the propaganda lighthouse in poor areas where even basic educational facilities have not been provided. In November 2013, our company launched the SUNBO Lighthouse Invest, a non-profit public interest corporation, to improve the poor living and educational environment of poor overseas countries. Starting with goods support and volunteer work in Dharamsala, India, educational projects for children and adolescents in poor countries such as Tibet, Uganda, Nepal, and Congo are being carried out. In the future, we will actively continue to support domestic and foreign children who will be responsible for the future through the support project of SUNBO Lighthouse Invest.

 On February 7, with the last inspection by the Korea Gas Safety Corporation, the expansion of the cryogenic performance test center at SUNBO industries Co., Ltd.'s Dadae 2 plant was completed. As a result of the expansion work since March last year as the volume of BCKB and ACD increased in 2022, a 150m³ nitrogen tank was additionally installed in the existing 50m³ capacity tank, and a sufficient amount of Test Bed was secured. This construction is an EPC project in which Jeong Je-heon, head of the research institute, conducted all processes from planning to design, procurement, production, and commissioning, and those in charge of the construction successfully completed the second plant with all their technology. It is also meaningful that this cryogenic performance test center has been built as a system that can be integrated and controlled not only in the field but also in the office and control room, increasing the convenience and accuracy of work. In the future, SUNBO's cryogenic performance test center is expected to significantly improve customer quality satisfaction by conducting complete product testing.​

 Delivering Donations to the Youth Stump Foundation​ The new year of 2022 also began with news of warm donation activities by donation angel SUNBO. The SUNBO Family donated 12,986,960 won to the Youth Stump Foundation on Jan. 25. 25. Kang Hyo-chang, executive director of the Youth Stump Foundation, Jang Hee-sun, secretary-general, and Choi Eun-jin visited our company for the donation delivery ceremony. Kang Hyo-chang and his party first looked around the public relations center and watched a promotional video in the protocol room. At the donation delivery ceremony that followed, Chairman Choi Geum-sik and President Kim Sang-do shared a welcoming speech and a response speech from executive director Kang Hyo-chang. The donation delivered to the Youth Stump Foundation on this day is a fund raised by executives and employees of all companies who have participated in donation activities while drinking coffee and tea at the smart lounge. Our company operates a cafe with a coffee machine in a smart lounge and voluntarily makes donations from employees. In addition, in order to support the active donation activities of the SUNBO Family, a "donation angel" system was created in which the same amount was added at the company level as the cafe donation. This year, in addition to the profits from using the cafe, executives and employees voluntarily donated individually, and Chairman Choi Geum-sik added 10 million won individually to help show off the donation angel.​

 Our company was selected as the "2022 Youth-Friendly Small and Medium Business" for the fourth time after 2016, 2018, and 2021.  On July 28, 2021, the water electrolysis system, which was ordered from Elchemtech and manufactured for about five months (August to December), was delivered on January 9 of this year and completed the site installation on the 12th. The product is the first water electrolysis project conducted as a business partner with Elchemtech, and it was carried out as an EPC product from basic design to trial operation. The water electrolysis system ordered by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power was overall produced by Sunbo, including the water electrolysis stack supplied by Elchemtech and the power conversion device supplied by Zipilos. In particular, this water electrolysis system applies plant specifications for the commercialization of water electrolysis in the future, implementing a design differentiated from the existing water electrolysis system. Starting with the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Project, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has completed orders for 300KW (Jeju Island), and it is expected that customers' water supply needs will increase significantly in 2022. It is expected that the successful delivery of the KHNP's water electrolysis project will accelerate the growth of the "SUNBO Eco System" that will create new value for our company.

   SUNBO Angel Partners Co., Ltd. participated in the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the world's largest IT and home appliance exhibition held from January 5 to 7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). The exclusive booth of SUNBO Angel Partners Co., Ltd., the second since 2020, is the only venture capital (VC) or accelerator (AC) in Korea, attracting the attention of participants.At the exhibition, SUNBO Angel Partners Co., Ltd. provided solutions for renewable energy businesses such as solar energy (FES), hydrogen (Lchemtech), and carbon saving (carbon value), and also held promotions to discover startups that visited CES.  Last month, our company conducted safety training on gas handling for each factory. Dadae Plant 1 was trained on January 12, Dadae Plant 2 on January 13, and Gimhae Plant and SUNBO PEACE Co., Ltd. on January 17. The training was conducted to recognize the dangers of all types of gas handled in the field and to strengthen the capability to prevent and cope with possible gas safety accidents.Kim Byung-ho, deputy director of the Best One Occupational Safety and Health (Safety Agency), conducted the training, focusing on how to use safety protective equipment and how to handle gas safety when working in closed spaces, along with "how to handle pressure containers," "caution for storing and using explosive gases such as oxygen and LPG." Handling gas can lead to major accidents even if it is small carelessness, so handlers should not tolerate small carelessness and need special attention. Through this training, I hope you will be aware of the dangers of cryogenic gases and familiarize yourself with safety work methods to become a family that is always awake to safety issues.​

 On January 11, English education in the first half of the year began with the first schedule of the PSA SUNBO Academy. 10 SUNBO Industries Co., Ltd. and 10 SUNBO Unitech Co., Ltd. applied for in-house native English education in the first half of the year, which runs for a total of four months until May, and classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:20 p.m. to 90 minutes. English education, which invited native English teachers to help the SUNBO family build English conversation skills, is divided into beginner and intermediate courses by level. The beginner class of SUNBO Industries Co., Ltd. can take classes in the smart lounge (Lee Soo-jin instructor), the intermediate class in the rooftop protocol room (Brendon instructor), the beginner class of Sunbo Unitech in the 3rd floor (Moon Seo instructor), and the 4th floor design conference room (Mark Lee instructor). Our company provides various in-house training through PSA SUNBO Academy.
