On February 19th, at the Hanlimmyeon Administrative Welfare Center, SUNBO Family held the "Sunjae Scholarship Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony" for the first semester of 2024.
The ceremony was attended by Chairman Choi Sang-sik of the Sunjae Scholarship Foundation, along with directors, auditors, and executives. Local officials including Choi Sung-hoon, the head of Hanlimmyeon, Kwon Ji-eun, the principal of Hanlim Elementary School, and Kim Mi-jeong, the principal of Hanlim Middle School, also graced the event. Vice President Seo Jae-wook of SUNBO Industries congratulated the students on behalf of SUNBO Family.
The event commenced with an opening speech by Chairman Choi Sang-sik, followed by an introduction of the Sunjae Scholarship Foundation, the presentation of scholarships and certificates, speeches from the chairman and executives, student responses, and concluded with a commemorative photograph session.
The Sunjae Scholarship Foundation is actively engaged in educational programs and textbook support to provide diverse learning opportunities for students. Programs include cultural experiences visiting historical and cultural sites, career experiences visiting major universities, the National Assembly, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and KBS Broadcasting Station, and the "Dream Discovery Camp" co-sponsored with Kimhae City. Additionally, the foundation supports cultural education for youth by sponsoring annual subscriptions of <Boys Korea Daily> to several elementary schools in Hanlimmyeon.
During the ceremony, scholarships were awarded to the following university students: Kim Hyun-ji (Changwon University, 4th year), Seon Mi-jeong (Kyungsung University, 4th year), Lee Chae-eun (Chungnam National University, 4th year), Kim Hye-yeong (Kyungpook National University, 3rd year), Lee Seo-yoon (Jinju National University of Education, 3rd year), Shin A-hyun (Sungshin Women's University, 2nd year), Jo Hyun-seo (Kongju National University, 2nd year), Cha Ae-ryeong (Pukyong National University, 2nd year), Kim Gi-beom (Pusan National University, 1st year); and high school students: Park Dae-hyun (Gaya High School, 3rd year), Park Yeo-jin (Gaya High School, 3rd year), Lee Seung-bin (Bunseong High School, 3rd year), Jo Yoon-jae (Kimhae High School, 3rd year), Choi Seo-hyun (Daesan High School, 2nd year), Kim Seo-hee (Okya High School, 1st year), Kim Ju-kyeong (Gaya High School, 1st year), Im Hyeon-seo (Goseong High School, 1st year), and Choi Yu-jeong (Geochang High School, 1st year), totaling 18 recipients.
