April 23 SUNBO Unitech Daebul Factory conducted off-campus education for students in the Department of Mechanical, Naval, and Marine Engineering (Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering) at Mokpo University. On this morning, 120 students from Mokpo University visited the Daebul Factory together with professor Jeong-gyu Choi and department officials and participated in an on-site tour. At the site, a physical briefing was held on representative products such as water electrolysis systems, BCKB, and T/TOP. Next, the students moved to the training room, listened to PT training that included the introduction , current status, and major history of each of the SUNBO Family corporations , and had a Q&A session regarding the future prospects of the shipbuilding and maritime industries and career paths and employment. Mr. Jeon Minjae, a manager at SUNBO Unitech, encouraged students and offered advice on the future vision of SUNBO and the shipbuilding industry, as well as on the ideal traits of talents and professional capabilities. “SUNBO is a company that is constantly innovating for the development of the global marine industry, and it is an honor to be able to work with future engineers.” “I think so,” he said, expressing gratitude for the interest. He also emphasized, “The career experience at SUNBO will create a link between your academic knowledge and the actual industry,” and “I believe that the fresh ideas and young energy of future talent will lead to challenges and changes.” The training ended with the request, “Let’s have a professional perspective to solve problems and explore the future together.”

SUNBO held the SUNBO Family Alumni Association Spring Climbing Competition on April 13 to provide a venue for friendship and exchange for executives and employees’ families. The SUNBO Family gathered at Geumjeongsan Mountain Fortress Village at 9 a.m. and enjoyed the spring energy as they walked along the fortress overlooking the East and South Seas, the Nakdong River, and the open plain. After the hike, we gathered at a nearby restaurant and enjoyed a meal and recreation with family and colleagues. Recreational programs include the rock-paper-scissors telepathy game and In addition to the King of Singer singing contest, outdoor activities such as Oh Fun , group OX games, and children's treasure hunt were provided to increase interest. On this day, various prizes, souvenirs, and participation gifts were given out ,adding to the richness of the family event.

SUNBO Family Team Leader/Giwon Overseas Workshop Held

SUNBO Industries, SUNBO Unitech, SUNBO Hitech, SUNBO Peace Team Leader, and Kiwon workshops will be held twice from mid-April to mid-May. Presenting to boost the morale of team leader-level employees, we prepared a local workshop in Vietnam to be held for 3 nights and 5 days from April 20 and May 18, respectively. The family presented at the first workshop arrived at Nha Trang Airport and toured the northern region, Hon Trong Beach, and historical sites, and then had tea time and discussion in the hotel meeting room in the afternoon. Shown the next day After visiting the Vinasin Shipyard and examining the current status of local factory operations, we moved to Dalat and visited the landmark Kawa Lake and the night market. It was like enjoying a work trip that combines relaxation and work. Starting at 8 am on the third day, the second discussion was held for about 4 hours. Topics of discussion included breaking down walls between organizations (finding ways to stimulate communication within, between departments, and between factories), diagnosing areas for improvement in the organizational system, reviewing development directions, and ways to strengthen cost competitiveness. The SUNBO Family, hosted by the Organizational Culture Team, was held at the training center at the SUNBO Industries Headquarters on April 29. The event of this year 's One Mind Competition was 'shoe throwing', in which anyone, regardless of gender or age, can participate without any burden. The game was played as a tournament, and one participant was selected from each team. The participant threw the shoe from a distance of 6 meters, and the participant who threw it closest to the line won. Each participant is given up to two chances, and a rule is applied in which the first record is reset upon the second attempt. After several one-on-one tournaments, first place went to Woo Ji- ye (computer team). A departmental fee of 50,000 won was paid as an injury.

The online comment auction was held until the afternoon of April 30th, and the items were delivered in batches on May 2nd, before the Children's Day holiday. SUNBO Industries Dadae 2 Factory held an award ceremony on April 15 to celebrate the achievement of 500 accident-free days. The SUNBO Family celebrated the 500th accident-free day at Dadae Plant 2, which was achieved as of April 12th. The research and development team explained the progress of the Sunbo Angel Partners AI project , which develops investment screening assistance tools based on large-scale language models, and the status of holding in-house AI seminars. In addition, the need to utilize the technology was emphasized through the types of generative artificial intelligence, its differentiation compared to existing artificial intelligence, and examples of operation. SUNBO Unitech Daebul Factory SUNBO Hitech held a spring workshop for two days from March 15th to 16th at a resort in Naju, Jeollanam-do. by the Chonnam National University Foul Industry-Academic Convergence Institute, was attended by 52 executives, employees and heads of partner companies. On March 21st, at the headquarters' education center, the inaugural events of the "Body Fat Loss Champion Competition" and the Health Dream Center kicked off. The Body Fat Loss Champion Competition, an annual event aimed at enhancing employees' self-care abilities, will run until October. Participants and the company will contribute a fixed amount each month towards their goals. At the end of October, final assessments will determine winners in categories 1 to 3 and recognize high achievers (totaling over 60 points) with varying prize amounts. Participants who do not meet their goals will donate their contributions in full. Additionally, supported by Saha-gu and Saha Health Center, the Health Dream Center welcomes participation from employees who do not apply for the Body Fat Loss Champion Competition. The center offers basic metabolic syndrome tests such as blood pressure, blood glucose, and cholesterol screenings, personalized health consultations based on test results, and services like the "Mind Relief Bus." On March 10th, 12 employees from SUNBO Angel Partners participated in the 2024 MBN Geoje Hope Race held at Geoje Sports Park, enjoying a day of sports together. The unique challenge for Sunbo Angel Partners' employees began with a recommendation from CEO Oh Jong-hoon, who himself regularly participates in half marathons and enjoys running. On February 19th, at the Hanlimmyeon Administrative Welfare Center, SUNBO Family held the "Sunjae Scholarship Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony" for the first semester of 2024. The ceremony was attended by Chairman Choi Sang-sik of the Sunjae Scholarship Foundation, along with directors, auditors, and executives. Local officials including Choi Sung-hoon, the head of Hanlimmyeon, Kwon Ji-eun, the principal of Hanlim Elementary School, and Kim Mi-jeong, the principal of Hanlim Middle School, also graced the event. SUNBO Family hosted by the Organizational Culture Team, was successfully concluded with a positive response this year. On February 26th on the rooftop of SUNBO Industries Dadae Factory 1, a bar game was held. Male participants calculated the maximum number of pull-ups in one minute, and female participants hung on the bar for up to one minute. For women, points were allocated in proportion to the time they hung. A total of 9 teams were formed, with one male and one female employee from each department. Employees who exercised regularly and improved their physical strength confidently showed off their strength as athletes. First place went to Design Team 1 (Director Byeong- chang Yoo and Associate Kim Young- ran), who successfully completed 19 pull-ups and 1 minute of hanging. A departmental fee of 50,000 won was paid as an injury.
