​ ​April 23 SUNBO Unitech Daebul Factory conducted off-campus education for students in the Department of Mechanical, Naval, and Marine Engineering (Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering) at Mokpo University.  On this morning, 120 students from Mokpo University visited the Daebul Factory together with professor Jeong-gyu Choi and department officials and participated in an on-site tour. At the site, a physical briefing was held on representative products such as water electrolysis systems, BCKB, and T/TOP. Next, the students moved to the training room, listened to PT training that included the introduction , current status, and major history of each of the SUNBO Family corporations , and had a Q&A session regarding the future prospects of the shipbuilding and maritime industries and career paths and employment.  Mr. Jeon Minjae, a manager at SUNBO Unitech, encouraged students and offered advice on the future vision of SUNBO and the shipbuilding industry, as well as on the ideal traits of talents and professional capabilities.  “SUNBO is a company that is constantly innovating for the development of the global marine industry, and it is an honor to be able to work with future engineers.” “I think so,” he said, expressing gratitude for the interest. He also emphasized, “The career experience at SUNBO will create a link between your academic knowledge and the actual industry,” and “I believe that the fresh ideas and young energy of future talent will lead to challenges and changes.” The training ended with the request, “Let’s have a professional perspective to solve problems and explore the future together.”

​​​​​​​​​​​​​SUNBO held the SUNBO Family Alumni Association Spring Climbing Competition on April 13 to provide a venue for friendship and exchange for executives and employees’ families.  The SUNBO Family gathered at Geumjeongsan Mountain Fortress Village at 9 a.m. and enjoyed the spring energy as they walked along the fortress overlooking the East and South Seas, the Nakdong River, and the open plain. After the hike, we gathered at a nearby restaurant and enjoyed a meal and recreation with family and colleagues. Recreational programs include the rock-paper-scissors telepathy game and In addition to the King of Singer singing contest, outdoor activities such as Oh Fun , group OX games, and children's treasure hunt were provided to increase interest. On this day, various prizes, souvenirs, and participation gifts were given out ,adding to the richness of the family event.​ 

​​​​​​​​​SUNBO Industries, SUNBO Unitech, SUNBO Hitech, SUNBO Peace Team Leader, and Kiwon workshops will be held twice from mid-April to mid-May.  Presenting to boost the morale of team leader-level employees, we prepared a local workshop in Vietnam to be held for 3 nights and 5 days from April 20 and May 18, respectively. The family presented at the first workshop arrived at Nha Trang Airport and toured the northern region, Hon Trong Beach, and historical sites, and then had tea time and discussion in the hotel meeting room in the afternoon. Shown the next day After visiting the Vinasin Shipyard and examining the current status of local factory operations, we moved to Dalat and visited the landmark Kawa Lake and the night market. It was like enjoying a work trip that combines relaxation and work.  Starting at 8 am on the third day, the second discussion was held for about 4 hours. Topics of discussion included breaking down walls between organizations (finding ways to stimulate communication within, between departments, and between factories), diagnosing areas for improvement in the organizational system, reviewing development directions, and ways to strengthen cost competitiveness.  SUNBO expected to increase its global capabilities and strengthen its organizational competitiveness by providing various experiences and activity opportunities to executives and employees.​ 

​​​​The SUNBO Family, hosted by the Organizational Culture Team, was held at the training center at the SUNBO Industries Headquarters on April 29.  The event of this year 's One Mind Competition was 'shoe throwing', in which anyone, regardless of gender or age, can participate without any burden. The game was played as a tournament, and one participant was selected from each team. The participant threw the shoe from a distance of 6 meters, and the participant who threw it closest to the line won. Each participant is given up to two chances, and a rule is applied in which the first record is reset upon the second attempt. After several one-on-one tournaments, first place went to Woo Ji- ye (computer team). A departmental fee of 50,000 won was paid as an injury.​ 

​​​​​SUNBO Family's representative sharing activity, was carried out as a special campaign to celebrate Family Month.  Company-wide executives and team leaders participated in the special campaign and submitted their personal treasures. Executives and employees donated a variety of items, including golf equipment, children's books, shoes, dolls, winter items, and fashion items. The online comment auction was held until the afternoon of April 30th, and the items were delivered in batches on May 2nd, before the Children's Day holiday. In addition, various play items such as RC cars, makeup boxes, power tool play kits, and textbook series were prepared as Children's Day gifts and encouraged employees to participate in the auction. Items that were sold at a lower price than the market price were delivered to each household, increasing satisfaction, and the proceeds were converted into donations, creating the effect of killing two birds with one stone.  ​ 

​​ SUNBO Family held a company-wide business performance report for the first quarter of 2024 at each corporate business site.  This reporting session was attended by executives and employees above the level of responsibility, and the headquarters reported for about two hours on April 16th and 18th, and SUNBO Unitech and SUNBO Hitech reported for about two hours on the afternoon of the 18th.  SUNBO Industries conducted reports on HSE, production sector, quality management, management support, and management planning. In the second report on the 18th, each team presented the mid- to long-term strategy 'LET'S GO 2025' to secure future growth engines. In this presentation, detailed implementation tasks for ▲new gap in luxury modules ▲accelerated growth of eco-friendly LNG fuel supply unit FGSS (Fuel Gas Supply System) ▲value sharing and sustainable management were reported. The schedule was then concluded with reports on sales 1, plant sales, shipbuilding design, plant design, and test operation . SUNBO Unitech and SUNBO Hitech reported on the HSE, design (Yeongam factory), production management, and quality control sectors, followed by Kim Sang-do. The presentation ended with a critique and a slogan by the CEO of SUNBO Hitech.​ ​

​SUNBO Industries Dadae 2 Factory held an award ceremony on April 15 to celebrate the achievement of 500 accident-free days.  The SUNBO Family celebrated the 500th accident-free day at Dadae Plant 2, which was achieved as of April 12th. Dadae 2 Factory's zero-accident challenge, which started on November 29, 2022, exceeded 500 days and achieved 1 multiple of zero accidents.  Park Doo-seon who attended the award ceremony Vice Chairman of the SUNBO Family presented a zero- accident certificate certificate and a panel to Manager Seungyong Bae and Manager Kyunghwa Lee (Dadae 2nd Factory Production Management Team). A reward of 10,000 won was given to executives and employees of Dadae Factory 2. Park Doo-seon Vice Chairman SUNBO Family said, “We congratulate Dadae 2 Factory on 500 days without accidents, and we hope for continued accident-free records for the next 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 days,” and added, “The company will not spare any support to create a safe workplace.” He also emphasized workers' right to stop work and evacuate when a dangerous situation arises, and ordered efforts to prevent safety accidents.​ 

 ​On March 15, SUNBO Unitech signed an 'Agreement to promote new eco-friendly energy business and PEM water electrolysis business cooperation promotion agreement' with K-Fusion Technology, a small but strong company in eco-friendly technology.  At the agreement ceremony held at the headquarters this afternoon, Kwak Heon-gil K-Fusion Technology CEO and Park Doo-seon Kim Cheong-wook , including Vice Chairman of the SUNBO Family SUNBO Unitech CEO, Group Head Jin Byeong-seok , Executive Director Choi Kyeong -ho , and Manager Jeong Hyeon-woo attended and strengthened their commitment to cooperation.  Both companies By linking electrodeless underwater plasma technology with PEM water electrolysis equipment, we aim to increase efficiency by more than 30% through water pretreatment alone. Through the electrodeless underwater plasma technology, which is K-Fusion Technology's core competitiveness, it is expected to improve the dryer process of water electrolysis facilities, increase efficiency using activated water, and secure electrolyzer cost competitiveness.  The electrodeless underwater plasma technology, which was recognized as a new technology (NFP) by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in 2017, does not need to use electromagnetic waves, sound waves, or high voltage to produce active water , and uses only high-pressure pure water at room temperature to continuously produce white, high-density plasma. This is converted into hydrogen water with a concentration of 50 to 200 ppm, and is expected to bring desired results in the field of green hydrogen production . In particular, it is expected to greatly help the government achieve its 2050 green hydrogen production goal early.​

​The Sunbo Angel Partners research and development team conducted generative artificial intelligence training at the headquarters training center and the Gupyeong factory cafeteria on March 27.  Lee Kun-hee served as an instructor, the operating principles and industrial trends of generative artificial intelligence were introduced, as well as ways to improve work productivity by utilizing it. The research and development team explained the progress of the Sunbo Angel Partners AI project , which develops investment screening assistance tools based on large-scale language models, and the status of holding in-house AI seminars. In addition, the need to utilize the technology was emphasized through the types of generative artificial intelligence, its differentiation compared to existing artificial intelligence, and examples of operation.  In particular, with regard to the use of generative artificial intelligence as a work assistant , the image combination and creation process and the investment prospectus writing process received attention from Family as examples of high practical use. Representative generative AI models include ChatGPT (text), DeepVoice (voice), Stable Diffusion (image), and SORA (video), depending on each output value . Employee Lee Kun-hee emphasized, “It is important to use generative artificial intelligence frequently and adapt it to a direction that is appropriate and useful for you.” At the same time, he suggested using generative artificial intelligence tools for various tasks, such as automating repetitive tasks, writing Excel functions, and writing regular expressions for emails and phone numbers.​ 

​​SUNBO Unitech Daebul Factory SUNBO Hitech held a spring workshop for two days from March 15th to 16th at a resort in Naju, Jeollanam-do.  by the Chonnam National University Foul Industry-Academic Convergence Institute, was attended by 52 executives, employees and heads of partner companies. The first day's schedule is Kim Sang-do. Starting with a lecture by SUNBO Hitech's CEO, it consisted of job training such as chat GPT prompt engineering and business application practice using business expansion and creation AI tools. During dinner, Kim Sang-jin took charge of the proceedings, and a time for communication and harmony between executives and staff was provided.  The second day, team building and cohesion improvement activities, PPT production using generative AI, and idea generation training were provided. Afterwards, attendees concluded the event with lunch. Family, introduced through this spring workshop, was able to receive help in improving job skills and promote friendship and harmony among colleagues, seniors and juniors through systematic training related to AI tools that were unfamiliar to them.​ 

​​​With the arrival of spring, SUNBO Family has introduced various internal programs to encourage proactive health management and fitness improvement.   On March 21st, at the headquarters' education center, the inaugural events of the "Body Fat Loss Champion Competition" and the Health Dream Center kicked off. The Body Fat Loss Champion Competition, an annual event aimed at enhancing employees' self-care abilities, will run until October. Participants and the company will contribute a fixed amount each month towards their goals. At the end of October, final assessments will determine winners in categories 1 to 3 and recognize high achievers (totaling over 60 points) with varying prize amounts. Participants who do not meet their goals will donate their contributions in full.   Additionally, supported by Saha-gu and Saha Health Center, the Health Dream Center welcomes participation from employees who do not apply for the Body Fat Loss Champion Competition. The center offers basic metabolic syndrome tests such as blood pressure, blood glucose, and cholesterol screenings, personalized health consultations based on test results, and services like the "Mind Relief Bus."   These initiatives underscore Sunbo's commitment to promoting employee well-being and fostering a culture of proactive health management within SunboFamily.​

​​​​From April to May, SUNBO will conduct health check-ups for all factory employees. The schedule is as follows: Daedae 1 Factory (SUNBO Industries) on April 2nd Daedae 2 Factory on April 3rd SUNBO Office on April 24th SUNBO Unitech Gupyeong Factory on April 25th SUNBO Unitech Daebul Factory and SUNBO HiTech Yeongam Factory in mid-May The health screenings will cover all direct employees as well as those from partner companies.   In addition to national health examinations, SUNBO supports its SUNBO Family in early disease detection and improving treatment efficiency through various internal health promotion programs.​ 

​On March 10th, 12 employees from SUNBO Angel Partners participated in the 2024 MBN Geoje Hope Race held at Geoje Sports Park, enjoying a day of sports together.   The unique challenge for Sunbo Angel Partners' employees began with a recommendation from CEO Oh Jong-hoon, who himself regularly participates in half marathons and enjoys running. In this event, the employees took on the 10km race to boost morale, enhance teamwork, and explore Geoje's spring seaside over a span of about one hour.   After the competition, the employees shared their experiences over a seasonal seafood dinner and discussed future activities. Sunbo Angel Partners expressed plans to continue fostering special memories with its employees and their families, including marathons in spring and hiking in autumn.  ​ 

​​​​On February 19th, at the Hanlimmyeon Administrative Welfare Center, SUNBO Family held the "Sunjae Scholarship Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony" for the first semester of 2024.   The ceremony was attended by Chairman Choi Sang-sik of the Sunjae Scholarship Foundation, along with directors, auditors, and executives. Local officials including Choi Sung-hoon, the head of Hanlimmyeon, Kwon Ji-eun, the principal of Hanlim Elementary School, and Kim Mi-jeong, the principal of Hanlim Middle School, also graced the event. Vice President Seo Jae-wook of SUNBO Industries congratulated the students on behalf of SUNBO Family. The event commenced with an opening speech by Chairman Choi Sang-sik, followed by an introduction of the Sunjae Scholarship Foundation, the presentation of scholarships and certificates, speeches from the chairman and executives, student responses, and concluded with a commemorative photograph session.   The Sunjae Scholarship Foundation is actively engaged in educational programs and textbook support to provide diverse learning opportunities for students. Programs include cultural experiences visiting historical and cultural sites, career experiences visiting major universities, the National Assembly, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and KBS Broadcasting Station, and the "Dream Discovery Camp" co-sponsored with Kimhae City. Additionally, the foundation supports cultural education for youth by sponsoring annual subscriptions of <Boys Korea Daily> to several elementary schools in Hanlimmyeon.   During the ceremony, scholarships were awarded to the following university students: Kim Hyun-ji (Changwon University, 4th year), Seon Mi-jeong (Kyungsung University, 4th year), Lee Chae-eun (Chungnam National University, 4th year), Kim Hye-yeong (Kyungpook National University, 3rd year), Lee Seo-yoon (Jinju National University of Education, 3rd year), Shin A-hyun (Sungshin Women's University, 2nd year), Jo Hyun-seo (Kongju National University, 2nd year), Cha Ae-ryeong (Pukyong National University, 2nd year), Kim Gi-beom (Pusan National University, 1st year); and high school students: Park Dae-hyun (Gaya High School, 3rd year), Park Yeo-jin (Gaya High School, 3rd year), Lee Seung-bin (Bunseong High School, 3rd year), Jo Yoon-jae (Kimhae High School, 3rd year), Choi Seo-hyun (Daesan High School, 2nd year), Kim Seo-hee (Okya High School, 1st year), Kim Ju-kyeong (Gaya High School, 1st year), Im Hyeon-seo (Goseong High School, 1st year), and Choi Yu-jeong (Geochang High School, 1st year), totaling 18 recipients.​ 

 ​Twelve executives and employees of SUNBO Angel Partners participated in the 2024 MBN Geoje Hope Race held at Geoje Sports Park on March 10 and enjoyed accompanying sports activities.  SUNBO Angel Partners began with the recommendation of CEO Oh Jong-hoon, who regularly participates in half marathons and enjoys running. Sunbo Angel Partners announced that it plans to run a marathon every spring and a mountain hike every fall to create special memories with employees and their families.​​​

​​​​​​​​SUNBO Family hosted by the Organizational Culture Team, was successfully concluded with a positive response this year.  On February 26th on the rooftop of SUNBO Industries Dadae Factory 1, a bar game was held. Male participants calculated the maximum number of pull-ups in one minute, and female participants hung on the bar for up to one minute. For women, points were allocated in proportion to the time they hung. A total of 9 teams were formed, with one male and one female employee from each department. Employees who exercised regularly and improved their physical strength confidently showed off their strength as athletes.  First place went to Design Team 1 (Director Byeong- chang Yoo and Associate Kim Young- ran), who successfully completed 19 pull-ups and 1 minute of hanging. A departmental fee of 50,000 won was paid as an injury.​
