Sunbo Industrial has become the first private company to participate in the Busan Good Payment (Prepayment) Campaign, an initiative led by Busan Metropolitan City to support small businesses and local merchants while revitalizing the regional economy.

On January 8, Sunbo Family Chairman Choi Geum-sik visited Jangnim Alley Market in Saha-gu, where Sunbo’s headquarters is located. He engaged with local vendors, purchased goods, and later dined at a local jaecheop-guk (freshwater clam soup) restaurant, prepaying for future meals as part of the campaign. Continuing this effort, he visited Sinpyeong Alley Market on January 14 to make additional purchases and prepayments, further contributing to the local economy.

The Good Payment Campaign is a public-private partnership initiative that encourages businesses and organizations to support small business owners by prepaying for goods and services, with a commitment to return later. This movement aims to provide financial stability to local merchants while promoting sustainable economic growth in the region.

Chairman Choi remarked, “This experience allowed me to witness firsthand the challenges faced by small business owners. The Good Payment Campaign is a meaningful initiative that provides tangible support to local merchants.”

Busan city officials expressed their appreciation, stating, “Sunbo Industrial’s participation sets an important example of corporate social responsibility and community collaboration. We encourage more businesses to take part in this campaign to foster a thriving local economy.”
