On February 10, Sunbo Unitech held a Safety Resolution Rally in front of Building C at its Gupyeong Plant, with all employees from both the Gupyeong Plant and the Energy Solutions division in attendance.

The rally was organized in response to a series of safety incidents and unsafe practices that had occurred within a one-month span. It aimed to prevent future hazards and reinforce a strong culture of safety awareness. The event began with a safety address by Sunbo Unitech CEO Chungwook Kim and proceeded with the following: ▲ a reading of the safety pledge ▲ a signing ceremony ▲ the presentation of signed safety pledges ▲ safety remarks by Sunbo Family Vice Chairman Dooseon Park and Executive Director Youngsam Lim (Head of HSE) ▲ and a collective safety inspection and confirmation by all attendees.

In his address, CEO Kim emphasized three key principles:

  1. Nothing is more important than safety

  2. Everyone, including management, must maintain the right mindset toward safety

  3. Let this rally mark the end of repeated incidents and the beginning of a return to a zero-accident workplace

Executive Director Lim highlighted real examples of potential hazards and unsafe behaviors observed at the Gupyeong site. He stated, “It is the proper actions of all employees that create a zero-accident workplace. From partner company representatives to supervisors, everyone must lead by example and help build a strong culture of safety awareness.”

Vice Chairman Park reiterated Item 10 of the safety pledge: “We will stop work immediately when dangerous situations arise and report to a supervisor for proper action.” He stressed the importance of actively implementing safety measures.

He also encouraged employees to make a habit of wearing safety gear such as protective goggles and masks and to always approach work with a sound and responsible mindset to prevent accidents.

After reviewing the safety pledge, all participating employees signed the document as a collective commitment to uphold safety standards.
