From August to September, SB Seonbo participated in a safety and health assessment conducted in collaboration with Busan Bank and Korea Evaluation Data, earning an SH Grade 2 and receiving recognition for excellence in safety and health management.

The safety and health assessment evaluates a workplace’s safety and health management system, implementation status, practical measures, and accident history by reviewing documents and scoring each category. Ratings are classified from Grade 1 to Grade 7.

SB Seonbo received top scores in safety and health management systems, implementation, and practical measures, resulting in an overall Grade 2 rating.

According to the assessment officials, Grade 2 places the company in the top 4% of evaluated organizations. SB Seonbo’s compliance with laws such as the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act, its establishment of a robust safety and health management system, and its proactive internal safety initiatives—such as safety pledge ceremonies, awareness campaigns, and collaborative efforts with agencies including the KOSHA, Ministry of Employment and Labor, and Busan Western District Prosecutors’ Office—were highly praised.

The evaluators noted that with continued focus on preventing industrial accidents, SB Seonbo has the potential to achieve Grade 1 in future assessments.

The HSE Planning and HSE Teams, along with plant supervisors, will use this assessment as a foundation to pursue a zero-accident workplace and ensure a healthy and safe environment for all employees.
