On September 27, SUNBO INDUSTRIES was honored with the Busan Metropolitan City Social Contribution Award at the 31st Busan Welfare Month Celebration held at Dasom Square in Busan Citizens Park. The award recognizes the company’s dedication to practicing neighborly love and contributing to the local community.
As a distinguished member of Busan’s Honorary Donation Company program, SUNBO INDUSTRIES has grown into one of the region’s leading companies since its establishment in 1996. It has consistently carried out educational and scholarship programs for underprivileged groups and local youth, along with various corporate social responsibility initiatives. Despite challenging circumstances such as natural disasters and economic hardships, the company has provided substantial support, with total donations amounting to approximately 10 billion KRW to date.
In addition, SUNBO’s employees have actively participated in volunteer activities, including blood drives, coal briquette and meal deliveries, and neighborhood cleanup efforts, fostering a culture of giving and community engagement. In recognition of these contributions, SUNBO INDUSTRIES received the top honor in the Sharing and Giving category.
With this recognition, SUNBO will benefit from privileges such as the use of the official social contribution emblem and receive special treatment as an outstanding enterprise under Busan’s Corporate Honor and Business Promotion Ordinance for the next three years.
