SUNBO lNDUSTRIES has been honored with the designation of 2024 Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

At the certification ceremony held on August 16 at the Busan Employment and Labor Office, SUNBO lNDUSTRIES was represented by Vice President Seo Jae-wook and employee representative Kim Dong-seop, who received the certificate and plaque. This program recognizes companies that exemplify cooperative labor-management relations and social responsibility through successful labor-management partnerships, with the goal of enhancing corporate and national competitiveness. This year, 145 companies applied, and after a thorough evaluation involving document reviews and case presentations, 35 companies, including Seonbo Industrial, were selected.

SUNBO lNDUSTRIES was highly praised for overcoming internal labor conflicts between direct employees and in-house subcontractors during factory consolidations through extensive communication and engagement activities. Key initiatives that stood out include:

  • Quarterly business performance presentations, joint labor-management workshops, and the establishment of an integrated IT system
  • Increasing the frequency of labor-management meetings from quarterly to monthly to promote information sharing and communication
  • Monthly labor-management joint events, such as the One-Heart Competition, to foster stronger engagement

As a result of this recognition, SUNBO will benefit from exemptions from regular labor inspections, the use of the excellent company label, promotional materials, and additional points in various government support programs and assessments. The designation also offers advantages in financial areas, including lending and credit evaluation.

Through regular consultations, SUNBO continues to address employee concerns and seek improvement measures. The company also leverages workshops and its internal IT network to resolve inter-generational and inter-rank conflicts while working to eliminate outdated practices. SUNBO actively promotes organizational culture improvements through initiatives such as the Smart Seonbo TFT, Seonbo Supporters, and the Gratitude Sharing campaign.

SUNBO’s distinct welfare policies—including financial support for infertility treatments, reduced working hours during pregnancy, and allowances for special occasions—have also played a crucial role in establishing a positive labor-management culture. By extending these benefits to its partner companies, Seonbo fosters a collaborative and mutually beneficial work environment.

The company plans to continue expanding advanced welfare initiatives and creating platforms for dialogue, further promoting cooperative and sustainable labor-management practices.
