As the year-end season approached, Sunbo Family once again engaged in its annual fundraising activities to support the local community. On December 2, Sunbo Unitech contributed 10 million won to the Gupyeong-dong Administrative Welfare Center as part of the “Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign.” The campaign, organized by the Busan Community Chest of Korea and supported by the city of Busan, runs from December 1 to January 31 under the slogan, “Giving Value to Myself, Giving Value to Busan,” with a fundraising target of 10.86 billion won.
For every 108.6 million won raised, the "Love Temperature Tower" rises by one degree, with the goal of reaching 100 degrees upon meeting the target. The funds will be allocated to support residents in Busan facing hardships due to the ongoing economic crisis.
Additionally, Sunbo Industries donated 10 million won through the Dadae 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center, specifically to assist low-income and vulnerable households in the area. The company has been consistently involved in supporting local community projects, including the "Smile Rediscovered with the Community" initiative, which provides dental treatment support for low-income middle-aged residents.
Sunbo Hitech and Sunbo Unitech each donated 5 million won to the Yeongam-gun Future Education Foundation to support scholarships and talent development initiatives, while Sunbo Peace donated 5 million won to the city of Gimhae for neighbor assistance programs.
Among the executives attending the donation ceremonies were:
- Seo Jae-wook, Vice President of Sunbo Industries (Management Support)
- Kim Cheong-wook, CEO of Sunbo Unitech
- Kim Sang-do, CEO of Sunbo Hitech
- Choi Hong-ryeol, CEO of Sunbo Peace
Sunbo Family, which was honored with the "Top Giving Award" in the generosity category at the Busan Social Contribution Awards this year, continues its efforts as a leading philanthropic organization, actively integrating ESG values into its management practices.
