On November 5, Sunbo Industries hosted the Safety Workplace Day, an event organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA). The event was attended by over 30 distinguished guests, including Gong Heung-du, Head of KOSHA’s Busan Headquarters, the heads of the Busan Regional Offices of the Korea Industrial Safety Association and Korea Industrial Health Association, officials from the Busan Employment and Labor Office, and safety managers from various shipbuilding equipment companies in the Busan region.

 

From Sunbo, Vice Chairman Park Doo-sun, Vice President Seo Jae-wook, Executive Director Lim Young-sam, Executive Director Choi Kyung-ho, and Senior Engineer Bae Sang-jun were present.

The event included introductions of the guests, welcome speeches, a company introduction video, a presentation on Sunbo’s safety and health initiatives, a group safety pledge, and a site tour. Lim Young-sam, Executive Director of H.S.E, shared Sunbo’s successful practices in safety and health management. Officials from the Ministry of Employment and Labor noted the factory’s clean and organized environment, with well-maintained paintwork, clearly marked safety paths, and visible safety signs, all reflecting Sunbo’s commitment to fostering a robust safety culture.

The event also featured a Q&A session focused on safety training for foreign workers, addressing a key topic in current safety discussions.

 

Sunbo led a guided tour of the factory, showcasing its flagship products, safety signage, facilities, and materials designed for foreign workers. Safety managers from shipbuilding equipment companies praised the visit, stating, “It was a valuable opportunity to witness Sunbo’s outstanding safety and health practices firsthand. Their efforts to create a safe workplace in every corner are a model that can benefit overall business operations.”​
