Eleven companies based in Busan have been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ “Jump-Up Program,” an initiative designed to intensively support promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The Busan Metropolitan Government announced on March 29 that 11 SMEs headquartered in Busan were chosen for the second round of the ministry’s Jump-Up Program. Launched last year, the program selects 100 SMEs annually for five years. Eligible companies must have been in operation for at least seven years and demonstrate strong growth potential and technological capability.

This year, 100 companies with high growth potential were selected from 531 applicants nationwide through a comprehensive evaluation of growth prospects, profitability, and innovation.

Selected companies will receive intensive support for three years to help them scale up into mid-sized enterprises. The program provides assistance ranging from the development of new business strategies to commercialization, investment attraction, and global market expansion.

Following the selection of 14 Busan companies in the first round last year, the newly selected firms from Busan include SB Sunbo Co., Ltd., Kwang Sung Instrument Co., Ltd., Good Trust Co., Ltd., Dasco Co., Ltd., Daehong Electric Co., Ltd., Deliverd Korea Co., Ltd., Mt.H Control Valve Co., Ltd., Dongyang Metal Industry Co., Ltd., Samyoung MT Co., Ltd., Sejin Valve Industry Co., Ltd., and Turbo Power Tech Co., Ltd.
