On January 15, Sunbo Industrial participated in the Serious Accident Punishment Act (SAPA) Forum held at the Western Branch of the Busan Prosecutors’ Office, where it presented best practices in workplace safety and health. The event aimed to reduce fatal accidents in local industrial sites and enhance occupational safety.
The forum was organized by the Busan Western Regional Council for Youth Crime Prevention, chaired by Sunbo Family Chairman Choi Geum-sik, in collaboration with the Busan Western Prosecutors’ Office and supported by the Busan Shipbuilding & Offshore Equipment Cooperative.
At the forum, Lim Young-sam, Executive Director of Sunbo Industrial and H.S.E. officer, shared exemplary cases of establishing workplace safety and health systems. His presentation provided practical insights into workplace safety management, system implementation, and operational improvements, addressing challenges faced by local businesses in complying with SAPA.
Chairman Choi Geum-sik stated, “Through this forum, we hope to foster a strong safety culture in industrial sites and minimize confusion surrounding the implementation of SAPA.”
