To foster a company-wide culture of sharing and open communication, several internal organizations within the Sunbo Family were successfully launched on February 18 and 19.

The third cohort of “SunPorters”, composed of employees from Sunbo Industries, Sunbo Unitech (Gupyeong and Daebul Plants), and Sunbo Peace, will play an active role in promoting internal policies—such as gratitude sharing, flexible annual leave usage, and adherence to core work hours. They will also encourage participation in various events and programs that contribute to a positive organizational culture. Since its initial launch in early 2023, the SunPorters have spearheaded initiatives like the Hanmaeum Festival and Communication Day to strengthen employee bonds and cultivate a family-friendly workplace environment. They also gather employee feedback on welfare policies and actively push for meaningful institutional improvements.

The newly formed “1st Junior Board” kicked off with participation from senior-level staff at Sunbo Industries and Sunbo Hi-Tech. The Junior Board serves as a youth executive committee comprised of assistant manager-level employees and below. Separate from traditional executive or management meetings, the board is tasked with proposing, discussing, and making decisions on key internal matters. It is envisioned as a collaborative body that promotes progressive organizational culture, enhances communication across all ranks, and expands dialogue platforms such as rank-based roundtable discussions.

Both the SunPorters and the Junior Board will host “JjinTalk Day”—executive town halls—on a semiannual basis and continue organizing the bi-monthly Hanmaeum Festival. These two groups will also form the backbone of the new “SunboWay Task Force (TF)”, an initiative aimed at driving organizational innovation and improving the work environment. The SunboWay TF consists of:

▲ Bongsoo Jang (Senior, Junior Board)
▲ Jihye Kang (Associate, SunPorters)
▲ Jungseok Kim (General Affairs Team Leader)
▲ Suji Lee (General Affairs Team)
▲ Seyoung Lee (Director, Sunbo Angel Partners)

The TF will focus on promoting cross-departmental collaboration, motivating team members, and enhancing overall productivity through the design and execution of various programs.

Additionally, the first cohort of the Sunbo Volunteer Corps was launched on February 19. Representing the entire Sunbo Family, this group will take part in community outreach and external volunteer activities. Starting in March, members will engage in bi-monthly volunteer work at local senior centers and deliver daily necessities to those in need.

What makes these initiatives particularly meaningful is that they are all driven by voluntary employee participation. Based on well-structured annual activity plans, these groups are expected to play a significant role in enhancing employee pride and promoting a family-friendly corporate culture throughout the Sunbo Family.
