Choi Geum-sik, chairman of Sunbo Unitech Co.,Ltd., attended the "Green Hydrogen Global Hub Construction Plan and Production Facility Demonstration Commemorative Event" held at CFI Mirae Hall in Jeju on September 29. On this day, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Jeju Island announced plans to establish a large-scale green hydrogen demonstration project and a Jeju-type green hydrogen ecosystem for the first time in Korea.
The 12.5㎿ hydrogen power generation complex, which will be created in 2026, aims to produce 1,176 tons of hydrogen annually based on a 60% utilization rate, and plans to supply the produced hydrogen to 200 cleaning vehicles in Jeju City and 300 buses in and out of the city.
Sunbo Unitech Co.,Ltd. is expected to play a role as a major participating company as it has formed a hydrogen value chain with domestic startups and research institutes and continues to collaborate on industry-academic joint research and development.
